City Parks

Harry Holt Neighborhood Park

Two acre-Harry Holt Park is centrally located within the older part of Creswell close to downtown, one block north of Oregon Avenue. It is surrounded by residential homes. Facilities include rest rooms, basketball courts, tennis court, picnic tables, benches, drinking fountain, play areas, slides, balance beam, climbing bars, merry go-round, tire, gazebo, trash receptacles, small open field next to basketball courts, grass and parking.

 

Garden Lake Community Park

Thirty-three acre Garden Lake Park is a natural park located on the east side of Creswell on Melton Road. It is surrounded by commercial and residential land to the south and east and Interstate 5 to the west. The north edge of the park forms the edge of the urban growth boundary. The park is primarily used for fishing right now but is ideal for canoeing and bird watching. Facilities include benches, picnic tables, bathroom, trails, dock/pier and trash receptacle.

City/Government ~

The City of Creswell was incorporated in 1909. Today the city is a municipality and uses the City council-city administrator form of government. Councilors serve four year terms. Council meetings are held on the first Monday after the first Tuesday of each month at Creswell Community Center.

Schools ~

Public Schools 

The Creswell School Distsrict has three public schools. Creslane Elementary serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade; Creswell Middle School serves Grades 6 to 8 and Creswell High School serves students in grades 9 -12. The district accomodates about 1200 students.

Creswell School District offers a Breakfast and lunch program and transports eligible students to and from school.

Private Schools 

Creswell Christian Child Care Center (5c’s) has been in Creswell for over 30 years. It is a state-licensed center for children from infancy through 10 years of age. Classes offered range from preschool through kindergarten as well as after-school care for elementary age children.
