	Known as one of the friendliest small towns in Oregon, Creswell is also notable for annual events such as its Fourth of July Celebration, which draws spectators from all over the state; the Coast Fork Cowboy Festival that features performances by nationally known cowboy musicians, singers and poets and takes place the first weekend in August; and its Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration in mid-December. A 100th birthday observance is being planned to take place in 2009 for the city, which was incorporated in 1909.
